The Power of Business Basics

"I thought I had a handle on my financial part of my business. After all, I had tons of reports. The sad fact is that I didn't know what they meant. And, I wasn't using the information to steer my company where I wanted it to go. Though, that didn't stop me from running all those reports.

"My accountant wasn't much help, either. Sure he helped me pay my taxes but he didn't do a thing to help me run my business. So, I ended up doing all this accounting work that kept me very busy, but didn't tell me what really needed to know like - Am I charging the right price? What areas of my business are making money? What areas of my business are losing money?

Today as I was working on a payroll tax problem with the accountant, I helped her figure it out!  I said to myself, "I get that!"  I am pumped!
