The Challenge

A full business makeover

The Approach

We are PROUD of Brent's progress! As of November 3rd, 2005, he has:

  • Completed his "Perfect life" exercise...a written documentation of what he wants to be, do and have. 
  • Completed the Setting Sight section of The Bare Bones Biz Plan and assembled his Biz Plan Binder. 
  • Crafted his Mission Statement. 
  • Identified his Target Market.
  • Nailed down a winning Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and customer-focused Elevator Speeches. His USP is..."We LISTEN and Deliver." Very cool! 
  • Developed an ambitious, yet realistic, list of Goals and has identified his VISION...his over-arching Goal...how he will know when he has "made it." 
  • Fleshed out the Building the Team section of his Biz Plan Binder. 
  • Organized his company with an Organizational Chart...and put together the corresponding Position Descriptions. 
  • Customized his Budgeting Program...part of the Making Money section of The Bare Bones Biz Plan. We are working on his Start Up Budget as well as the Budget for 2006. From the Budgets Brent gets his financial goals in dollars and percentages. FUN! And, a justification for his selling prices. Nice. 
  • Started his accounting systems, using MYOB Premier software and a customized Chart of Accounts. 
  • Put together his Marketing Calendar and "adopted" a Sales Guru and Selling System...building the Gettting it Sold section of his Biz Plan. 
  • Assembled his Top Projects list...focusing on the top ten projects that MAXIMIZE profits and opportunities and SOLVE his biggest challenges. 
  • Begun creating SYSTEMS that work...and benefit him, his future employees and customers...so that everyone is better off and no one is worse off.

Our process for the Make-Over goes like this...

  • Brent and Ellen meet on the phone for weekly meetings. 
  • Brent does his homework...building his Biz Plan Binder...and DOING the work required to bring his idea into a WINNING business. 
  • And we both learn from each other! 

The Results

Brent has LAUNCHED his business on November 15th, 2005
