GET INSPIRING BUSINESS IDEAS AND MOTIVATION

Balance and Breathe

When I present a seminar, I aim to bring lots of energy and information to the good folks who attend.  Sometimes, the energy can fade, so I will incorporate an exercise to re-charge the room.  Recently, I did an exercise that illustrated the absolute best business or coaching tip I have in my toolbox.  Thought I should […]

How Much Business Help is Right for You?

Every day, I get lots of email invitations from all kinds of business experts.  They promise inspiration and ways to help me make more money.  Do you get them, too?  Some of the invitations in your inbox are probably from me!  I believe in offering help when I can, and accepting help when I need […]

Lessons Learned from Business Makeover 2014!

Makeover?  Yes, please.  We are well into 2014 already!  The Business Makeover 2014 Summit was intended to help you (and me!) make this a seminal year.  A year in which we can breakthrough and breakout and makeover our lives and businesses.

Hurray…off to a great start.  As Business Makeover 2014 wraps up, here’s what I’ve learned.  (Maybe you could share what you’ve discovered, too, in the comments below?  Thanks!)

It’s good to put ourselves out there.  Life is about the adventure.  This event was a big reach for me and the Bare Bones Biz team. We really don’t need one more tip.  Boy, this one hit me like a ton of bricks.   […]

Or do you decide to do something completely new?  You get to choose and the beginning of a year is the right time to reflect and decide.

Leave it?   […]

The 5 Most Important Minutes of Your Day

I used to answer the clanging alarm clock by shouting, “NOOOOOO!” as I reached out to SHUT IT OFF.   While that may sound harmless, even humorous, I realized that it probably was not the best way to greet the day.

According to my friend, Robin Palmer, I’m absolutely right!  Robin says, “If you crawl out of bed stressed out and overwhelmed, you set yourself in motion to create a stress-filled, overwhelming day for yourself and those around you.”

Robin is one of the most positive people I know.  Her energy is off the charts.  (Next to her, I feel like I spend the day eating bon bons on the couch, so that will give you an indication.)  She and I connected at a women’s business event and fell instantly in love.  I’ve helped her with some business planning, and she helps me get out of the “right side” of the bed.  A great business is built on a powerful mission, a burning “why.”  Hers was born as a response to a challenge in her own life…
